About Us / History

Located in Dayton, Ohio, USA, Pharma-GPS, LLC was founded in 2009 by Dr. Jim Joly after a 17 yr career at Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals.  At P&G, Dr. Joly, a toxicologist by training, conducted preclinical safety evaluations for several successful INDs and NDAs, was chief safety assessor on P&G's in-licensing team, and part of several multi-million dollar licensing and co-development deals.   His extensive traveling and interest in Asia (including a 3 month sabbatical in Suzhou, China), combined with his interest in pharmaceutical technology evaluation, licensing, and growth opportunities in China, led to the founding of Pharma-GPS.

In only its second year, Pharma-GPS, LLC has seem tremendous growth in client base, collaboration with Chinese and Japanese partners, and the breadth of projects in both the US and China.  At the same time, Pharma-GPS has built an extensive network of experts in CMC, pharmacokinetics, toxicology, clinical trial design and analysis, biostatistics, global regulatory, and quality systems.  We support all aspects of pharmaceutical product development, licensing evaluation/optimization, and strategic placement of development activities in China.
